MY TOWN

I live in a small town. The population is 2,000. There are a lot of roads and interesting places to go. There aren’t any fields but there is a big park. The park is next to the Cathedral. The Cathedral is the biggest building in my town. There are lots of big buildings in my town. The sports centre is opposite the cinema. There are also three supermarkets and lots of cafés. There is a river with a new bridge.

There is a shopping centre in the newest building in the town. Friday is the busiest day in the centre. The quietest day is Sunday.

The Town Hall is the smallest and oldest building in my town.

  1. How many inhabitants live in this town?
  2. Is it a small or big town?
  3. Where is the park?
  4. What two adjectives are used to describe the Town Hall?
  5. What is the busiest day of the week? And the quietest?

Mary’s routine

Mary usually wakes up at half past seven, then she has a shower. She has a shower once a day. She always makes her bed and tidies her room. She leaves home at quarter past eight because she usually walks to school. She sometimes catches the bus to school.

She usually has lunch at school at one o’clock. She never watches TV in the afternoon and she sometimes uses the internet in the evenings to do some homework and study.

She has dinner at 9 o’clock and then goes to bed at 10 o’clock.

  1. What time does Mary wake up?
  2. Does she have a shower at night?
  3. Is her room in a mess when she leaves home?
  4. How does she go to school?
  5. Where does she have lunch?
  6. What does she use internet to?

Write about yourself following Mary’s example.
